Turn on Thumbnails view – Please be aware this may slow viewing folder significantly if you have many image files.
Open Folder Options.
Click on the View tab.
Thumbnail Previews
To Turn Off Thumbnails
Check Always show icons, never thumbnails, then click on OK.
To Turn On Thumbnails
Uncheck Always show icons, never thumbnails, click on OK.
