Over the past few months there has been a sharp increase of fake updates offered via spam email. Microsoft does not contact you via email so if it is a Microsoft program, you should stop immediately. Delete such messages and make sure you do not follow links in those emails.
One prevalent fake offers to update Adobe reader. Adobe do not offer updates via email. If you open the email you risk compromising your computer.

They want your email username and password. If you are silly enough to fill the bogus form with your information you may find you are a victime of a more complex scam. Make sure you don’t respond to any request for your user information via an email. If you are not sure contact the institution direclty and ask some questions, Its that simple.
On my computer my choice of Mozilla Thunderbird email and Firefox alerted mem immediately of the scam, but users of other email programs and web browsers may have had little warning all was not well.

On our way
Our tripping began on Monday with a late start from Emu Park. We decided to stop at Mt Hay and make sure the gear was all settleed dow OK. It took a while to deploy the camp but eventually we settled in for a nice supper.
Next day we just took it easy and looked around. That was untill Pam decided a walk to the front gate was a good idea. Continue reading
